Do you, uh, Bargle
Nawdle Zouss???: You have a lot
of nerve asking ME that! But, since you asked, of course
I ____.
Favorite Al-bum:
Straight Outta Lynwood, yo!
Favorite Song: I really can't
pick just one! But for now I'll pick two: White &
Nerdy and Virus Alert.
Favorite Polka: Right
now it's the "Angry White Boy Polka"
Favorite Parody: White &
Nerdy is pretty darn good.
Favorite Original: Hardware
Store and Virus Alert are great (although VA is a style
parody).
Favorite Unreleased Song:
Pac Man or It's Still Billy Joel To Me.
Favorite Music Video: Without
a doubt, White & Nerdy!
Favorite Band Member:
Ruben, who else?
Favorite Weird Al
quote: "It's hard to
Bargle Nawdle Zouss???
With all these marbles in my mouth." Also, not by Al himself,
but my new favorite quote about him.... "He
who's tired of Weird Al is tired of life." -Homer
Simpson
What band or singer
do you think Al should parody next?:
I've got no opinion right now. Al always seems to choose correctly,
though.
What song do you think Al should
parody next?: Can't think of any now. When I do,
I'll let you know.
What band or singer do you think Al should
style parody next?: Sheesh, who came up with all
these questions?
What song or band do you think
Al should include in a polka next?: That's a hard
one, I guess whoever he hasn't done yet. Maybe one of the newer
bands.
What music video would you like to see
Al parody?: He should 'parody' one of Eminem's videos.
Yeah, that would show him!
Who would you like
to hear cover an Al song?: I'd
like to hear every band that Al has parodied or style parodied
cover one of his songs.
Which song would you like them
to cover?: Their own song that got parodied or style
parodied.
What song would you
like to see a video for that doesn't have one?:
Couch Potato... oh yeah, Eminem, darn! Well I'd still like to
see one anyway!
What TV show would
you like to see Al guest star in next?:
Saturday Night Live, Mad TV or Late Night with Conan O'Brien
How did you first
hear about Al?: From my parents
What's the story behind that?:
It's kind of a long one, so sit back and enjoy. Well, the earliest
I can remember is when I was pretty young. My parents called
me in to watch UHF. Even back then, I enjoyed it. Especially
the Wheel of Fish. Later on in life came The Weird Al Show,
which I remember my mom telling me about. I really enjoyed the
show. Not too long after that, Al was in town and we decided
to go to his concert. At the time, I didn't even know he sang.
Well, nonetheless, I enjoyed the show, but still wasn't the
huge Al-oholic I am today. Sometime in 1999 or 2000 (so long
ago :) ), I got hooked. I had seen his Behind the Music and
Video Collection on VH-1 and couldn't get enough. I'd watch
them over and over. So, shortly after that, I went on-line and
downloaded some of his songs off Scour and Napster. (Yes, I
actually downloaded some of his songs off Napster. But I really
think it helped me become the Al-oholic I am today.) Finally,
I went out and got the box set and it just grew from there.
"I liked his music so much, I made this site." :)
Have you been to
an Al concert?: Yep
If so, how many?: 3
Concert Experience Story: This
is a short story of my first two concerts. Well, I don't remember
the first concert (Bad Hair Tour) that well, but I remember
I really enjoyed Another One Rides the Bus, Like A Surgeon,
Bedrock Anthem and Amish Paradise. However, when Al came around
again (Touring with Scissors), I was a true Al-oholic. The concert
was held at the Arizona State Fair. We got there early and checked
out our seats, which were pretty darn good, FYI. It was still
atleast an hour 'til the show, so we walked around for awhile.
While there, I heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit", which was odd,
since Al just happened to parody it. Also, I could hear the
faint sound of an accordion coming from the arena. (Hmmm, wonder
who that was?) Well, finally, it was time for the show. It was
great! The songs and videos were hilarious. One bad thing was
that since it was at the fair, he had to cut his show in half.
He never sang The Night Santa Went Crazy, My Babys In Love With
Eddie Vedder, Dare To Be Stupid and others. Also, a couple of
things went wrong. First off, there was a little bit of feedback
(that ennoying sound the mic makes), but it was fixed. And also,
Ruben's keyboard didn't work for Jerry Springer, but they fixed
it toward the end. All in all, the show was fantastic.
Hey, got to see Al on October 16, 2007 at the Arizona State
Fair! Thanks to my Dad, I also got awefully nice seats. Front
row center, to be exact! Yeah, I was surprised too. Let me just
say, BEST SEATS EVER. Well the concert was great. Noticed Steve
walking around the stage a bit before the show started. I remember
the last time Al played the state fair there was some electrical
and sound issues. Well, as the show was about to start, Fun
Zone kept skipping and not playing correctly. I thought, "Here
we go again!" Luckily, after about a minute, it finished
playing correctly and.... Polkarama! The concert began. Al seemed
to be at the top of his game. Overall, it was just a fantastic
concert.... except. Yes, there was one little issue. During
'Smells Like Nirvana,' I knew I would get wet from the water.
I assumed the Holy Grail (a.k.a the cup) would be unatainable
and would got about 3 rows back. Well, my prediction came true
and Al seemed to purposely throw the water directly into my
eyes. A second later, I could see again and to my surprise,
there, only 3 seats down, lay the cup. Then to my horror, some
guy reached down and snatched it up. I was distraught. I mean,
had I not been distracted (thanks, Al!) I would have dove down
there and got it. I guess it laid there for a while before anyone
noticed. Too bad, perhaps next time. Other than that little
mishap, I had a great time. Before the show it was noted that
it would be a shortened set, but the concert went for about
2 hours and, judging from some concert setlists posted online,
Al really only didn't play 2 or 3 songs. Hopefully the next
time Al visits the great state of Arizona and Phoenix in particular,
he plays at the US Airways Center or somewhere he can play a
full set.
Have you ever met
Al?: No and I'm not sure
I ever will get to. Besides, I don't know what I'd say anyway.
I'd probably come off as a fool!
If so, do you have a story?:
Nope.
Have you ever met any of the band?:
Eh... read above.
If so, who?: C'mon, now.
Do you have a story?: Who comes
up with these questions anyhow? Quite redundent.
Have you ever tried
a Twinkie Weiner Sandwich?: What
kind of Al fan do you think I am? Of course I have!
If so, what did you think?:
I loved it. I've actually had quite a few. In fact, I wish I
had one right now.
Do you collect Al
items?: Hmmm, have you checked
out my site? Of course I do!
If so, what's your favorite/most valuable
item?: Well, my most valuable would have to be the
picture of Al that was featured in the video for "I Lost On
Jeopardy". Yes, I really own THAT picture. Check out
the video to see it. And my favorite would have to be either
the Jeopardy Pic or my Placebo EP.
Anything else
we should know about you?: Nothing important. But,
I do own the site you're currently on (which is officially 6
years old, as of 10/25!) and, um, I'm the 27th Behind The Fan!
Other than that, nope.
Have you made a Parody?:
Still trying to think of one.
Name of Parody: No
name, I haven't even thought of one yet!
Original singer/song title:
Uh, read the above.
New Lyrics: Have you
read the other three questions and answers? :)
