Al's 12th Studio Album
Was originally scheduled to be released
on June 27, 2006. Was delayed until August 26, 2006 due to reasons
undisclosed between Al and his record label.
"You're Pitiful," a parody
of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful," was originally
planned to be on the album. But, due to legal reason's with
Blunt's record label, Al decided to pull it from the album.
Thus, "You're Pitiful" was made available for free
at WeirdAl.com, marking the first time Al has done such a thing.
The first single from the album,
Don't Download This Song, made it's World Premeire on Al's MySpace
page on August 21, 2006. Ironically, Al made it a free download.
The video for Don't Download This
Song made its World Premiere on Yahoo! Music Videos on August
22, 2006. The video, which didn't quite have a "Weird Al"
feel to it was animated and directed by Bill
Plympton.
